Most bolt carriers have a rear opening of over .60″, there are a couple of bolt carriers in the market place that have a rear opening of under .60″ and will not function with the SRS. This captured spring system is far better in my opinion than the JP. The problem is that the picture shows three different weight of captured springs making me think from what I read and see that I would be getting 3 for a ridiculously cheap price. It is only one spring system with the carbine weight and two extra weights to swap out.

Running this with aN 11.5 and the H2 weight in conjunction with a superlative AGB and SilCo MAAD brake. This setup runs like a top and with the brake there is ZERO recoil, not reduced recoil ZERO. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because originally purchased with the intent to use with a suppressed 300 blackout & the C weight, however the spring was a bit too much for 220gr subs. Armaspec doesn’t advertise the spring to be adjustable like the sound mitigation buffer and I didn’t find that anybody had experimented with this so I just slapped it in the 11.5 and it works great.

Wanted to try this to help tune my suppressed 300BLK pistol w/ Maxim CCS brace and quiet down the buffer spring. Worked great after changing to the H buffer weight and is a great tool for helping tune AR's without an adjustable gas block. Very quiet, love the captured spring. Will change all ARs to this style eventually!

Even though the AR 15 556 16” doesn’t have a lot of recoil this spring did reduce some and does run smoother. No spring boing. You will want to remove the buffer detent. Runs good with it but a little bit of a pain to remove with it in. I ordered on a Friday and got it the next Friday. I am not sure why Optics has such a bad review? My first order from them went well. Ordered ammo last Saturday and was delivered the next Friday. So far so good for me. Love the free delivery.
