The ATI Outdoor AR-15 Scorpion Recoil Pistol Grip features a material that absorbs the initial shock wave which is the felt punch of the recoil. With this ATI AR-15 Scorpion Recoil Pistol Grip, shooting any load size can now be done with no pain being transferred to the shooter. ATI Outdoor AR-15 Scorpion Recoil Pistol Grips are simply great options that increase the shooter’s comfort while reducing the muzzle lift, and removes limitations from spring & piston type recoil suppression systems. I've had this grip for awhile now and I wanted to really like it but I'm just not a fan of the rubber backing like I thought I was going to be. It feels a little to pliable for my liking which makes my purchase on the grip feel less secure but good for the recoil impulse though. It's also a little on the thick side for my medium-ish sized hands, those with larger hands may feel a bit more comfortable. I will look for another grip in the mean time but it's quite useable for now. With that being said it's not a bad grip just maybe not for me, your mileage may vary.

I have purchased several of these over the years, my first being installed on a custom WASR-10 build. That rifle ended up very light for an AK and therefore recoil was much more pronounced. When I started looking for recoil mitigation methods, I first replaced the butt stock which helped a bit, but found my wrist was still taking a beating. I found a kit that ATI had made for the AK-47 variants (not sure they still do) and this grip was an integral part of the kit. Upon installing the new butt stock and grip, I was instantly impressed with the level of recoil absorption that was provided. Several installs later and my last purchase was for my newly acquired Matrix Aerospace AR-10 build. While the rifle is a controllably smooth shooter, I chose to give the grip a try to replace the previously installed Larue A2 style, I did it more for a "familiarity" trait of the gun, but also noticed a difference in the comfort level when shooting.

I love the contrast in color. the grip is solid with the heal being soft. You can do all day sessions with this grip. Highly recommend. You can cerakote the grip portion and fit in with any color scheme you can dream of. Happy to recommend this product. You will be satisfied.

Added this to my AR pistol build and it is amazing. Helps with recoil. If there is a better grip out there, I haven't found it yet. This would be a great asset in any AR build. I would highly recommend it.

Wondered about size and angle. Installed it on my 8.3" 300 blackout pistol. Unless you have doll hands this thing feels very good. Yes it is a little larger but it fills your hand in a nice grippy ergonomic way. The angle is very good and the back portion buffers felt recoil. The size actually helps index your finger in a better and repeatable firing position. I still like a k2 plus but this is a little better for me. I put one on my 16 inch Ar rifle and like it there too. Quality is high and so is my reccomendation.

Great product. Real good feel to it. More of a tan than FDE but i have these grips on several ARs and they really do help with recoil. Made very well and very easy installation. Great for precision rifles or competition for quick follow up shots.
