Boss –
Battle Arms Development enhanced bolt catch. It went into the upper just as easy as any other bolt catch. It has a nice “skeletonized” look and pretty aggressive serrations, making it easy to locate by feel. The tab on the bottom helps a lot with manually catching the bolt.

Works well looks great, what more could you ask for? I’m building my dream light weight AR and need functionality for a left hand shooter. This and does the job. Looking forward to see what I can accomplish with this.

This is a well made part, is very sturdy and installation was simple. This issue I ran into was that it made contact with my Strike Industries Ambi mag release lever. So if you have an ambi mag release lever you might want to find a different bolt catch; the larger area on the 'bottom' (the part you'd press to lock the bolt back) is large and might make contact. It was a bummer because this is a great bolt catch. That's the only reason it got 4 stars.

This bolt catch does not come with the roll pin, plunger, or spring necessary for proper installation. Which is a shame, because the primary draw of this product compared to similar "enhanced" bolt catches is the price. Once you factor in the cost of sourcing the hardware yourself, there's little reason to get this over one of the other options on the market. BAD could certainly get these parts for only a few cents a piece at distributor prices, unlike the 6-10 dollars end users would pay.

Strong, will finished 9mm bolt catch. Only problem is that it won't work with the Aero EPC-9 LRBHO feature without modification. I did get it to work, so if you don't mind tinkering it's great. However, if you want a easy drop in catch that will just work with the EPC-9, look elsewhere.

I bought this one because of the price point. Had I realized I would have to source my own spring and plunger to even install this thing at retail cost, I’d have just gone with one of the slightly pricier options. First gun part I’ve ever bought that didn’t come with the hardware to install it.
