The Battle arms development EBC (enhanced bolt catch) was designed to be a drop-in upgrade to the existing MIL-SPEC bolt catch. Due to the design of this bolt catch, it provides not only a better purchase on the release portion but the lock portion of the catch as well. This makes reloading the gun from bolt lock much faster and locking the bolt to the rear much eaisier. The BAD-EBC-IC is also skeletonized to reduce weight and remove material not needed. This is the second one of these I own. Both fit nicely. Not too much play, not too tight. Seems solid enough to hold the bolt back in my experience. It also looks very cool! But more importantly, it looks cool and functions properly. Would recommend

The battle arms development enhanced bolt catch is a definite upgrade over the tiny mil spec original bolt catch if you don’t want to go with a magpul bad lever. The angles it extends are helpful in both releasing the bolt as well as holding the bolt open if you need to.

This is a good upgrade over the stock bolt catch, especially if your don’t go with the magpul bad lever. Both the ability to release the bolt and even more to catch the bolt with the battle arms bolt catch are greatly improved. Install is fairly simple, just make sure you have a long punch with you care about your rifles finish.

This is in my opinion is a great bolt hold upgrade for my mk18 build. Fit and finish is 10/10. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in this. Super light and great quality . Optic’s planet always has the best prices

I liked it in my AR10 so much I picked one up for my AR15. The enlarged faces make it much easier to operate the bolt than the milspec versions. The face that contacts the magazine follower is slightly larger than the milspec version which actually helped me correct some last round bolt hold open issues I was having due to some tolerance issues on a cheap lower.
