With our two lockdown systems (K1 & K2), we’ve engineered a solution to install the castle nut onto the end plate that is not only robust, but also stands true to our brand of innovation and ingenuity. The K2 system utilizes a c-clip design that seats itself through a designed slot on the bottom of the end plate and into corresponding cutouts on the castle nut. This ultra precision fit allows the castle nut to seat itself into place without the need of staking the end plate. No ratcheting, no set screws, no backing out and no failures. All of these features at only .55 oz / 15.6 grams! This is so much better than the ole regular castle nut and plate. Even the take down spring went in easier for some reason. Looks great just a bit of color to match the other accessories. Will be buying again

Blown away by this thing. Very easy to install. Just used it for a build with a Gearhead Works Mod 2 brace/buffer tube. It Locks up well via ratcheting device that is in the end plate. It also looks pretty cool. Highly recommended.

Nice looking, good finish and easy to install. Just click it tight and you are ready to go. Also easy to take off. Just depress the locking pin and screw off the nut. It really adds a good look your firearm from the plain mil spec.

I have three of these now and would definitely recommend this over the stock castle nut and end plate. Plus don’t forget all the colors they come in to dress up that AR. Super easy to install and uninstall.

I stumbled on this during a build I was working on a builld. While I must admit the cost is substantially more than a regular castle nut. It's definitely worth the investment. It looks great!! Not to mention, the functionality is unsurpassed.

K1 is tapered castle nut version and K2 is lever lock version. Both are fantastic and negate the necessity for staking castle nuts and allow for easier removal when necessary. Make sure you torque correctly and they will serve you indefinitely. Additionally they are ultra lightweight. Functionality between K1 & K2 are horse a piece. Fortiss customer service is excellent and products are all top notch. Bonus, Optics Planet is an excellent company on all levels!
