Good quality for under 30 bucks. The 45 degree throw safety is great. I like the fact they use torx head screws instead of hex like my other more expensive safety. Sure it’s a strong spring on the detent but with some lube and use it’s as good as others.

These are nice as most UTG products but they aren't perfectly aligned when you get them installed. They are off by 1 degree or 2 maybe. It's not a big deal, it's hard to tell without looking but it sucks if you're ocd like me. I ordered 4 and installed all 4 and 3 of them had this minor defect. Personally I might see if OP will return these for me.

This selector are just fine for what your paying , ppl are not recommending and giving bad reviews because you don't know what your doing. If the detent is stiff take a drill bit and drill the spring hole in handle a little deeper , do this by hand taking very little out until you get it where you like it , buff the pin with a drimel buffing wheel and metal polish , and it will have a buttery smooth positive lock .your welcome

This ambi safety installed easily (after watching YouTube videos) and being careful to keep the existing safety selector detent & spring from flying. But fortunately this kit comes with its own detent and spring. The different size lever handles can be flipped to either side as well as setting up for the 45 or 90 degree throw for multiple configuration choices. I would recommend blue thread compound to assure that the lever retaining screws stay put. Also a little lube in the groove that the detent engages is advised before assembly. The first few switching of the selector feel rough at first, but once the detent and groove are mated to each other, the selection feels smooth with positive clicks in the safe and fire positions. I have installed these on my AR15s and AR10.

I am very happy with this UTG Selector. I have read all of the negative reviews, but decided to buy it anyway. I'm not sure you should trust those negative reviews. I have two of these and cannot reproduce any of the issues that the poor reviews have called out. I'm not a professional armorer, but I've built many ARs. I think most of the negative reviewers could remedy their issues with a very minimal application of armorer's grease. I always run the tip of my safety selector detents over a piece of 1000 grit sand paper or a diamond file to round it off slightly. Then I apply a tiny bit of armorer's grease to the detent and to the channel it will ride in. I've never once had a selector bind on me in SAFE or FIRE positions. Many of my friends have had these same binding issues with their non-UTG safety selectors and I have corrected those issues with the process described above. Overall, I think this is a well-designed safety selector and it works flawlessly on my rifles. For the money, this is a great selector. I think most of those negative reviews could have been avoided if people had a better practice for installing safety selectors. I buy these selectors with confidence.

Easy to install and it looks great! I added a little blue Loctite on the screws.
