The longer overall length allows easier magazine exchanges, and the extra diamond machining provides maximum grip. The release button fits both AR10/AR15 Platforms. It does everything you want a magazine release button to do, but better. The release button installs like the standard mil-spec release. We extended the length from .3in to .4in, enough to enhance performance while keeping a low enough profile to avoid snagging on slings and equipment. TheNext Level Armament Extended Magazine Release button adds just enough length to make magazine changes easy without any snagging. Nice finish and no machine marks. Still short enough to prevent accidental release when slung.

Replaced the original DPMS release, that appeared to be a AR-15 length with only minimal threads holding, with this release. Works very well and extends further out.

This extended mag release button is just simply amazing. I love that is it not tapped all the way through, so you have a very clean look. It’s also extended so you have no issue dropping those mags for a fast reload. I’m still waiting on 2 more that are on back order. It’s fine though, definitely worth the wait!

Machines well, looks good. But,On ar-10 lower would be better if approximately 1/8 inch or so higher. Not very much higher than mil spec. probably perfect for Ar-15 width lower
