Purchased this buffer for my 9mm carbine build. While I haven't completed this build yet, the feature of "front loading" the buffer to adjust the weight will be a game changer. it can be easily be adjusted at the range. Comes with the necessary tools to make changes.Hats off to Odin for a great designHats off to Optics Planet for a great price.

If youve ever built an AR9 from ground up youll find out, or maybe you already have found out, they can be very finicky. One area where they can be finicky is proper carrier/buffer weight combo. Experts that have built many AR9's in the past have recommended to have a combined weight between the carrier and the buffer to be NO LESS than 23 ounces, more is better but you want to be around the 23 ounce mark. This helps dial that weight in and allows you to add and take away weight as needed ibpaired it up with the Odin Works 9mm BCG and brough the weight to a little over 23 ounces, just like the advice said, and it was perfect. No more FTE's.A downside is you are going to have to really tighten down the nut that seals the weights into the buffer and probably blue loctite it. Its what i had to do because it kept backing out. Ive shot many hundrededs of rounds since doing it and it hasent backed out again… yet. But the design worries me. Just make sure to PMCS your carbine and make the buffer nut a spot to check before you take it out to the range and check it often to make sure it isnt backing out.

Made very well. Enjoy the fact that it allows me to tweak the weight and dial in. Quite a noticeable difference with felt recoil. ps-Use loc tight on set screws to prevent any backing out

Looks like good quality. I love the fact weights can changed and don’t have to buy multiple buffers to find out what works best.
