Recently, I have begun to build my own AR platform rifles. This has spiraled into an addiction, but a healthy one. Strike Industries pin kits are fantastic and affordable to keep on hand for the little mishaps that come with builds. Optics planet has them in stock almost always and ships fast. Ordered a handful of these packages to have on hand for when one of the pins decides to slip away. I was never an avid hide and seek player, so instead of getting the tac light off the rifle and playing it to finish my build I just grab what I need from my small grip of Strike Ind. pins. They's well made, no blemishes/imperfections visible or to the touch so I feel confident in their quality. I'll be using one full set for a new build, once I get all those set I'll edit my review if there's any issues.

I used this pin kit on my last build and found the quality and ease of use for the build were fine with no issues in fit or function.I noticed that the black takedown retaining pins seem to allow an easier/smoother operation of the takedown pins vs the standard brass pins you get in a lot of kits. Because of this the takedown pins are easier to get moving but are still very secure. Only time will tell if they stay this way or loosen up too much with use.I’m rating a four (4) simply because I don’t have enough use on the pins to give it anything higher. However no complaints so far from the build process.
