This is the BEST featureless grip I've had the pleasure of having my hands on.I've gone through several – every time they were either too small, or the fin was right in the middle of the grip. Pushing my hand over to twist and the worst thing of all I had nowhere to put my thumb. I kept wishing that I had somewhere to put my thumb as it made my grip unsteady/unstable and quite frankly uncomfortable. So I came across this and I thought oh, another fin but wait there's a shelf for my thumb — I was immediately sold on it. When looking at the pictures I realized that the fin was actually offset which is perfect as well. I couldn't believe it. So I ordered it.When it came in and I got to handle it — it was like all my thoughts were answered — it fit me perfectly, my palm swell was comfortable against the back and more importantly, my thumb had a home.Let me say that it was extremely comfortable to hold and to use on my rifles. I really do recommend this unit if you're looking for a featureless grip, the slight premium is worth it.

Great grip for those of us stuck in the Democratic Peoples Republik of Kalifornia with comarade brown and ilk. I do like the thumb rest. Price makes it very affordable for the day we rejoin the rest of the country and our 2nd ammendment is not infringed, we can toss and go back to our normal grips. Thanx Optics Planet.

Have this on a SCAR 17s featureless build. Used the original grip screw because the one supplied with the Megafin is slightly thicker than SCAR supports. The geometry of this right-hander's grip feels surprisingly good — good enough to not miss the pistol grip too much (except for general gun-handling properties). The thumb-rest is well-placed to access the SCAR's safety. The Megafin grip does (just barely) block use of those press-together combination trigger locks (on the SCAR 17s). A second iteration would be improved by adding a lid/rubber plug to the bottom for use as storage … currently, it is just open on the bottom. The thumb rest could be flared out a bit for more surface. Some of the edges are fairly "sharp" right-angles — perhaps round them out to reduce risk of "sudden movement" cuts. The texturing of the surface could be improved a bit to be more comparable to Tango-Down or Magpul feels. But I'm happy with it and would buy another as it is, but especially a tweaked version 2 that addressed the above issues.

I hate to part with my pistol grip, but mag changes with the ARMaglock were becoming to combersome. The best feature of this grip is the solid thumb rest which to me almost feels better than the original magpul grip. The Megafin also has a very aggressive texture that still feels very comfortable

Soooo I live in California and this item solves a problem that really shouldn't exist in the first place, but that's another discussion. I'm doing a featureless build and pretty much all of the grip solutions out there suck. There are products which require you to contort your wrist into an unnatural position for the duration of the time you have your hand on the grip as well as other, more pistol grip-like products which just don't do it for me. This Strike Industries Megafin Featureless Grip is another great product by a local SoCal company with many other great offerings. The little thumb protrusion notch thing at the top is what caught my attention and is what was highlighted by one YouTube reviewer as a nice feature. So if you absolutely must go featureless with your AR build and you don't want a radical change in the look and feel of your AR then this product is the way to go.

This product deserves the great ratings that its gotten online. It really does give the illusion that the grip is not featureless. It's extremely comfortable. There are two complaints. It is almost only for a roght handed user and the excellent thumbshelf grts in the way of a normal ambi safety. I dont have a short through or one of those shorter off hand safeties. I have a normal ambi safety and the saftey cannot be released using this grip. I will try to mount the ambidextrous side of my safety upside down to see if that works.
