This assembly was a great aftermarket alternative. It is a little more tedious to assemble, but with patience, and an extra few minutes of time, you get a sleek looking castle nut assembly, with multiple sling mounts, and is easily disassembled. I plan to use more in the future.

They are not joking when they say 35ft#, in fact on the second go round I'm going to 32. Yep you guessed it, snapped the castle nut. If you meet the torque spec,, do not try to go a little more to lign up the screw hole for thr anti rotate screw,, you better back up a notch,, which is not the correct method. Now the joy of waiting for a terrible carrier to get the product into the hands of a worse carrier. DHL is the second worst delivery service option only thing worse is USPS. OP is a decent vendor and have many of the trick products others may not have.

Looked like a neat idea. Picked up one to try out on a build I wanted to swap a few tubes on. This was exactly what was called for. Easy to install, easy to swap tubes in and out. The little set screw was fiddly on the first installation, but has become easy to use after that. Already picked up a 2nd one and will probably pick up a few more. It doesn't get much easier than this.

Great end plate assembly to use if you like to make changes to your AR. The set screw allows you to remove castle nut whenever you need to without having to re-stake. It also has a screw that holds the takedown pivot pin spring in place. This allows you to install the pivot spring without worrying about kinking up the spring when trying to tighten up the castle nut with the end plate. There have been reviews stating the screw head strips out when trying to tighten, but I believe they used the wrong screw. Use the allen screw as castle nut stake and the regular screw for the takedown pivot spring holder.

Left a prior review in which i broke the castlenut. Turns out i was using the torque wrench and castle nut wrench incorrectly, and torqued it to close to 70 ft-lbs. Contacted Strike and they hooked me up even though it was 10/10 my fault. Great service. Product works well when properly torqued.
