The Troy ambidextrous bolt release is hands down one of the best bolt release. The handle is lightly skinny so it does not get in the way. But be very careful in screwing the screw in the middle to tighten the lever. I lost the screw and was very difficult to find. Do not unscrew that middle Allen key screws. Other wise the bolt release is very solid.

Good addition to my AR. I have a vey long 18 power scope,and shoot off the bench.I like being able to control the rifle from the right side,and this bolt release makes it easy.Theres a notch built in to the area that fits thru the trigger guard,and this makes it easy to operate with the knuckle on my trigger finger.I also put one on my 9mm AR which lacks a bolt hold open on the last round fired.When I recock with my left hand I activate the bolt catch with my right on the right side.Much easier.Easy to install.

Great machining. Plenty of room in trigger guard after installation. Minus one star because you can over tighten small hex screw and jump the threads. Go easy on it, tight is tight, too tight is stripped. Use the short end of the Allen key.

Troy ambi bolt release for AR is nothing more than an extension lever that fastens to the OEM bolt release on the left side of the receiver, hangs down and crosses through the trigger guard, so it can be pressed with right index finger. Very simple to install. Takes about 5 minutes. May want to use a couple drops of thread locker, for the Allen set screw is tiny and may vibrate loose

As a leftie this works well. I'm sure everyone is aware of how a B.A.D. lever works, so I'll skip past all that. What I really like about it is how it functions in conjunction with the Troy ambi mag release. A right handed friend of mine said it made empty mag reloads faster for him that he bought one. Really good product

I bought to try out and I’m not disappointed in the Troy ambi bolt release. I expected good quality from Troy but wanted to compare it to the bad lever. I will not be buying a second bad lever and will use the Troy.
