The 2055 Carbine Buffer Tube, is a lightweight enhanced design, constructed for even longer service life. Ideal for those who are looking to upgrade their AR10/AR15, the 2055 features 13 position mil-spec diameter for use with most active bolt-cartridges such as the V7, V7 & V7 A5. This advanced material is not only tougher and better heat-resistant than traditional aluminum buffer tubes, but it is lighter while maintaining strength. Furthermore, a material that is better for the environment we are creating this new material is better for manufacturing, allowing for enhanced features such as larger drain holes, a stronger thimble, and a smoother overall function. You can count on your 2055 Carbine Buffer Tube to provide years of service under difficult situations. This just came in and it's beautiful and well made. Very light and the craftsmanship is excellent. It does have marring on the one end as if someone dropped it already though :/ This honestly isn't a big deal because I need another Buffer Tube anyway, which comes to the next part. Unfortunately as I ordered this, though it said Carbine on the site, the Carbine Super 42 Buffer Spring and Buffer is not compatible with A5 Buffer Tubes (which, when building a rifle, always read and reread the details before finishing your shopping) Optics Planet also sells a V Seven Carbine Buffer Tube that is not an A5 (difference in length), which is the one I should have bought. So, for all of you building Milspec, Carbine length ARs out there and thinking of using Geissele Super 42 Carbine Buffer Spring and Buffer, be aware that you will also have to purchase the standard Carbine Buffer Tubes or get the Geissele Rifle Super 42 for the A5 or Rifle Buffer Tube. This is the first time I'm building my own rifle and it's little words that at first while you're throwing together your shopping cart online, you're like, "Ok. Carbine and Carbine. This is compatible. Take my money." And then you find out that just because both items say Carbine in the title, you have to do the science and math behind what works in what and why. So, I really like V Seven products and their titanium and lithium aluminum are top notch. As always, you get what you pay for and skimping on your primary weapon system is not something you want to bet your life on. Overall V Seven makes an excellent A5 Buffer Tube and I was so impressed, I already bought the other Standard Carbine Buffer Tube before returning the A5. Optics Planet also has excellent shipping time/quality of shipping materials, customer service and products. I am continually impressed with Optics Planet's service. Though the product had a little minor damage, I'm sure that was a fluke. V Seven is worth the money and Optics Planet has earned my repeat business. If I can continue to find the products I want on Optics Planet, I will continue to give them my business in good faith and with confidence. Everything else that I have purchased from Optics Planet has exceeded my expectations in condition and quality. Thank you.

I now own V seven weapon systems 2055 carbine length and A5 length receiver extensions(aka buffer tube) along with V sevens off shoot brand Dark Hour Defense's carbine buffer tube made out of common 7075 aluminum which is just like the V seven weapon systems buffer tubes design besides the type of alloy it's made from and minus the scallops in the adjustment hole area. I like the look and the lighter weight of the V seven versions but if I wasn't willing to spend as much for the V7 extensions the Dark hour defense would be my next pick.
