This is a very high quality receiver extension. I would recommend getting the a5 tube over this one though because you can close a stock further on it. had very good threads on it and a nice snug fit with my stock.

Great fit and finish. Yes it’s more than a standard buffer but my ar pistol runs smoooooth now! I fit it with a vltor h2 buffer and I couldn’t be happier. Shipping from optics planet took a bit longer than normal, but hey, what’s normal these days?

Don’t do what I did when first being suggested in using the A5 buffer system. Had several companies that all said to find a 308 carbine buffer. You need an AR15 buffer with a AR10 build. 24 inch Rainer MOD2 308 ultramatch barrel, Aero upr/lwr, Sprinco orange spring, 6.7 oz buffer, & adjustable block. Results…. Sub 1/2 MOA and kicks lighter than a M16A2.

good item to upgrade your ar-15 lower to a vltor a5 type or style, this is slightly longer than a milspec carbine buffer tube so you need to use vltor a5 buffer and rifle length spring to operate correctly.
