If you are tired of the way the 10-22 holds the bolt release, get you one of these. It is fairly easy to install. Just watch a utube video on it. This is a must have for your Ruger 10/22. It is so easy to use now.

The new part fit nicely into the spaces from the old parts … the gun works fine, have only put a few rounds thru it, looking forward to more extensive testing with a variety of ammo but it works as advertised, makes racking the bolt a lot easier … you wonder why Ruger couldn't do this from the factory, I doubt it would cost them much if anything …

If you only add one upgrade to your 10/22, this is it. The first time I fired the 10/22, I could not believe what a PIA it was to lock the bolt or release the bolt. This solves the problem for good. I have never understood why Ruger does not change their design to this as it os the first modification everyone does.

Anyone with a 10/22 ruger knows what a pain it is to hold and push down the bolt release to swap out mags. you install this volquartsen bolt release and your troubles are gone.It works great and very easy to install, I did not get instructions with this but you go on youtube and you can find a lot of videos and how to install.

this Volquartsen Firearms Ruger 10/22 Automatic Bolt Release is a good upgrade for your 10/22. and if you only upgrade one part of you 10/22 this is the one you should do in my opinion. the original bolt release on the 10/22 does not work nicely. but this one does work good

This solved the problem of having to constantly release the bolt for my kids. This product not only allows the bolt to go forward easier, it makes locking the bolt open easier as well. My only complaint is that it went in too easy and didn't give me enough quality time with my beloved 10/22.
