Heavy-duty forged 303 stainless steel takedown/pivot pins for AR15. Weighted at 14 grams total, these pins are much stronger than the standard pins. Ideal for hard usage, they can withstand hammering, wrenching, and cleaning. When installed in the lower receiver, the head of the pin goes into the receiver notch, clearing the gap for a spring-loaded disconnector spring. When the adjusting nut is turned over, the pin head remains in place, but still allows the user to move the pin with a slight twist. Once the adjusting nut is turned over, the extra metal remains in place, ready for the next user to use. These hold down pins are super strong. They snap into place very well. Stainless steel makes rifle look amazing. These pins will work on all ARs and look great with any color schemes. Rock solid build and very tight tolerances. a must for any new custom build.

If you don't mind your pins being silver these are the best option I have found! Smooth operation with enough on the left hand side to move the pins enough to get your fingers around the head on the right hand side. Changed a few of my rifles over to these. They can't be beat!

I'll come right out and admit it; I bought these specifically to dress up my AR. My standard take-down pins worked fine and this set works fine too. I just wanted something high-end to aesthetically tie-in to my nickel boron bolt carrier group and my nickel boron custom trigger. Just wanted to have the finishes on each of those tiny elements coordinate. …if you're the superficial type like me these will satisfy you.

Ordered these 2 match some other stainless parts. They have a polished finish and look great. They also took all slop out of the receivers compared to the rattle with the pins included in the original parts kit.
